The Colorado caucus took an unexpected turn for the Romney campaign Tuesday night. Colorado was a projected win for Mitt Romney as he was leading the primary candidacy thus far, and had previously won the Colorado nomination in the 2008 elections.
Romney went on to congratulate Governor Santorum on his victories in Missouri and Minnesota. Final vote percentages declared Santorum winner with a 40.2% vote, with Romney coming in at 34.9%.
“We’re going to take our message of liberty and prosperity to every corner of the country. And when this primary season is over, we’re going to stand united as a party, behind our nominee to defeat Barack Obama and to restore the values that have made America the greatest nation in the history of the Earth.”
