Just Another Wednesday Night…

Will Loughren with Husch Blackwell's Barbara Grandjean and Bryan Cave's Steve Gurr.

Our own Cori Plotkin received a warm welcome as the newest board member of the American Red Cross Mile Chapter on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Cori, along with other American Red Cross board members and staff, came together for a Board of Directors dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, Strings. The conversation was flowing, as were the memories of Strings founder and owner, Noel Cunningham, whose passing in December was a great loss to our community.

In addition to sharing our stories and love for Strings, Barefoot on the Town mixed and mingled with fellow board members – including Barbara Grandjean, Senior Counsel with Husch BlackwellSteve Gurr, Partner with Bryan Cave LLP, and Michael Carrigan, Partner with Holland & Hart.

The crowd also included Mile High Chapter Board Chair, Will Loughran of Sceptre Hospitality Resources; Gino Greco, Regional Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter; Louis Colon of Colon Construction Services; Toti Cadavid of

Senku MarketingDeborah Brackney of Mountain States Employers Council; and Robert Likos, Denver Market President for Bank of America.

Barefoot's Cori Plotkin and Barbara Grandjean rave about the food at Strings.

We look forward to meeting more foks at upcoming Red Cross events – including the organization’s annual fundraiser - Breakfast of Champions - on Thursday, March 1. If you’re involved with the Red Cross, tweet us at @BarefootPRDen to let us know about it.
