Becky Almon Talks Business Development, Volunteering and Shoes

Becky Almon talks shoes with Barefoot's Sarah Hogan.

Have you met lady lawyer extraordinaire Becky Almon? The chair of Ireland Stapleton’s Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Group stopped by the Barefoot on the Town office last week to talk business development, volunteering and shoes!

Becky recently joined the Mile High United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council where she is involved with getting the organization’s third grade reading intiative off the ground as a member of the Volunteerism Steering Committee. She is passionate about the importance of early literacy and its impact on the future success of students.

You may recall Becky was named one of Law Week’s “Top Women Lawyers” last year for her  ability to balance a red-hot legal career with the demands of raising three young girls. And of course she was featured front-and-center in the photo for the article wearing hot pink Cole Haan pumps – her favorite pair.

Becky tells us the secret to her success is her ability to read clients – or rather read between the lines to figure out exactly what they need. We think the secret to her success has a little more to do with making friends. Becky has become a go-to lawyer for other lawyers on environmental matters of all kinds. They trust her, and her sharp legal instincts. She has a track record of making the right call, popular or not, and helping clients to see the light.

We also suspect her success may have something to do with her shoe collection…but we just may be biased. Becky estimates she has 50 pairs in her collection. And her favorite places to score a new pair? Nordstrom and Cole Haan. We like how this lady lawyer shops.
